The Bridge: Connected Through Art

An Exhibition & Screening Event
Aug 25, 2024

On Aug 25, we screened a preview of our second documentary on unconventional career paths from the perspectives of 3 second-generation Chinese-Canadian youth to an audience of 100 people.

Simultaneously, we presented our art exhibition ‘Self-Discovery & The Second-Gen Identity’ featuring various artistic mediums, some of which are pictured here. Youth film group Five24; premiered their short film ‘Ripples’ as an extended feature of our art exhibition.

We also sold our zine ‘Two Worlds, One Household’ , an in-depth look at the first documentary, artwork, and the Bridging Generations community; all proceeds will be going to charity. The zine, produced in collaboration with Purely Liminal Magazine, was on sale among other vendors.

Thanks so much for joining us. We hope that if you relate to the immigrant identity in some way or another, you were able to find comfort and relatability in our event, and moreover, our project overall. If you can’t relate, we hope you learned something new. Stay tuned for future events on our instagram @bridginggens
